Très bon groupe d'Arkansas une nouvelle fois. Trois albums à leur actif, des dates avec des grands noms de l'indie rock (Spoon, The Flaming Lips, Big Star, The Apples in Stereo, The Hold Steady) mais aussi de la scène hip-hop (De La Soul, The Roots) et great news, "in 2006, guitarist Will Boyd (oui oui, le guitariste d'Evanescence, groupe aussi d'Arkansas mais qui ne sera probablement mentionné qu'ajourd'hui, désolé) joined the band, and in the Summer of 2007 the band began work on their fourth album with producer Chuck Brody (Wu Tang Clan, Northern State) in New York."
Open Letter ouvre le bal au couteau à bout rond, sur une voix en dents de scie en train de gicler le sang sur des mètres de secondes.
Providence, R.I. met en avant le chant éraillé qui rend les compositions de American Princes moins pop déjà-vue sous tous les angles incarnés.
This Is The Year est l'une des meilleures songs du groupe, la plus indie et excitante, guitares dissonantes et batterie virulente, couplet déchirant et refrain de pop effréné.
