The Broken West est un groupe de power pop entre Hot Hot Heat, Weezer et The New Pornographers. C'est fresh & cool à base de synthé réglo, de chant imparable, de choeurs mignons et de guitares fun & funky.
"Initially named The Brokedown, they changed their name because of legal concerns with a Chicago band with a similar name. Their debut full-length release is I Can't Go On, I'll Go On. The title is likely a reference to The Waitresses' 1982 song "Go On," though considering the album's themes and the band's name, it may be a reference to the same Samuel Beckett quote.
Their single "Down in the Valley" was featured in an episode of Grey's Anatomy."
I Can't Go On, I'll Go On est sorti début 2007 et le groupe a été "artiste du jour" dans Spin. C'est pas rien.
